Birnam Guest House is our new property with 5 en suite rooms catering for up to 14 people. Dunkeld is an ideal base for running holidays as it is located in the most beautiful surroundings, famed throughout Scotland as a centre for adventure activities and outdoor lovers. The accommodation is all en-suite and is a three star facility under the VisitScotland accommodation scheme, but we are keen to develop the green potential of this site and promote sustainable development and energy conservation. Trossachs Backpackers Hostel has been purpose-built on its own 8-acre site, set amidst beautiful scenery just outside the bustling tourist town of Callander, Perthshire, Scotland. The 30-bed Scottish Hostel, which is the only one in the Trossachs area, opened in August 1997 and is finished to a very high standard - hence its nickname "Poshtel"!

Trossachs Backpackers is one of Scotlands finest privately owned high standard modern hostels, offering quality dormitory, single and family accommodation.
"Quote" Trossachs Backpackers offers all visitors the rare opportunity to enjoy a Holiday in a ' natural rural ' environment, allowing you and your family to relax and appreciate unspoilt Scotland in its finest.
Located close to Callander in The Trossachs area, bordering on Scotlands first National Park, a region of unsurpassed natural beauty, Highland mountains dropping towards dark blue lochs, serene walks and diverse wildlife ,this is a unique Hostel to visit and enjoy amidst likeminded people .
The rooms are all ensuite and are either 8 -bedded with 3 toilets and 2 showers in each room, 4 - bedded family rooms which have a shower room and their own private kitchen/dining facilities, or small single rooms with their own toilet and wash hand basin. There is a spacious Dining/Common Room, a well equipped kitchen, a laundry and a drying room.

A large Meeting/Recreation Room is also available and may be booked separately for conferences, parties, etc. We have an on-site Cycling Centre with a huge range of bicycles and accessories for sale.
Basic provisions, sweets, crisps and hot and cold beverages are also available.

Broadrayne Farm, Grasmere

Feed our bantams and geese from your cottage window. Watch the antics of the lambs skipping about in the fields around the cottages. Relax in the garden and enjoy the magnificent mountain and valley scenery around you.
Fabulous mountain views from all bedrooms with a stunning lounge with valley & mountain views. The hostel is totally non smoking with a payphone and private car park. There is a Nordic sauna to ease your legs after walking or running some of Coast to Coast footpath 100m away.Free tea and coffee is available all the time. There is an extensive footpath network and the hostel is only 1 mile from Grasmere village.
