Facing onto Birnam Hill (famous for Shakespeare's Macbeth), Birnam Guest House, has an enviable central location in Birnam village, situated opposite the new theatre and Beartrix Potter gardens and just a few minutes walk from the historic and immaculately preserved village of Dunkeld. Easily reached and central to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee, Birnam Guest House, Birnam, Dunkeld, is surrounded by some of Scotlands most beautiful scenery and is the ideal base for those looking for a relaxing short break, attending a local conference or wedding, or who wish to enjoy some of the many sports and activities available in Dunkeld and Birnam. including some of the best golf and fishing in the Europe.

We offer our guests 5 warm and comfortable en-suite bedrooms, conservatory lounge in which to relax and read your morning paper, and a cosy dining room, complete with open fire, in which to enjoy our freshly cooked Scottish breakfasts accompanied by a selection of fresh fruit, muesli, fruit juices, porridge and cereals. Our small but well stocked garden bursts into colourful life in the Spring with strategically placed seating providing sanctuary amongst the pots and plants on a warm summers day.

Dunnalistair Hotel, Kinloch Rannoch

The Dunalastair is the ‘Warm Heart of the Highlands’, amidst layers of highland lochside forest and mountain scenery right in the middle of Scotland, yet near Pitlochry and Perth, thus very accessible by road and rail. The hotel specialises in activity holidays organised in conjunction with the Highland Adventures Safari team and ranging from pony trekking to white water rafting. Otherwise there are great walks around the hotel or a visit to a distillery can be arranged. Bedrooms have been recently refurbished and their individual décor combined with classic furniture make them veritable ‘comfort zones’. Cuisine is classic Scottish – well presented with full use made of Scotland’s larder on the doorstep. The Dunalastair’s mission is to provide the most complete Highland Experience and the friendly staff strain every sinew to achieve this.

Highland Lodge, Gairloch

All rooms, some with sea view, are fully en-suite, with bath tub and shower, remote-control colour TV, direct-dial telephone, alarm, radio, hairdryer, shaver point, heated towel rail, trouser press, hospitality tray, electric blanket, baby listening and guest adjustable central heating.

In addition to our standard rooms, we also have family rooms as well as a king-sized four-poster and queen-size bedrooms. We also have a ground floor bedroom full equipped for occupation by guests with diabilities. For a nominal supplement guests are welcome to have their dogs accompany them in the bedroom (no charge applicable to guide-dogs).Wester Ross has some of the finest scenery in the UK and to compliment this we also have a beautiful and varied selection of wildlife. It is wonderful to see the deer, sheep, cattle and goats all wandering the hills and glens as well as rarer sites of otters and pine martins

We also have a great selection of birds including Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Buzzards and various hawks. There is a nature reserve at Bienn Eighe which is great fun for all the family and on Sea trips you can see porposes, whales, seals, otters and sometimes bottlenose dolphins. There are many fine walks and climbs locally, and for the hardened mountaineer An Teallach, Slioch, Liathach and Bienn Eighe in Torridon provide exceptional challenges. The world famous Inverewe Gardens are only 7 miles away.
